Who owns the park or green space near me?

The Park Action Guide provides advice for parks owned and managed by the City of Cleveland – but the Cleveland Parks & Greenspace Coalition is here to help in any scenario!

If your nearby park is owned or managed by Cleveland Metroparks, a non-profit organization, or private individual, let us know! We’ll be happy to assist you to find the answers, resources, and support you need.

Having trouble? Here are a few tips:

  • Zoom in and out using the “+” and “—” icons in the upper left-hand corner.

  • Parcel owners will appear over each parcel (white borders) once zoomed in.

  • Parks owned by the City of Cleveland will be listed as: “CITY OF CLEVELAND” or “CLEVELAND, CITY OF” in the parcel map.

  • Cleveland Metroparks located in Cleveland-proper are often owned by the City of Cleveland but managed by the Metroparks (examples: Edgewater Park and E. 55th Marina)– this requires the use of both maps to get a full picture.

  • In the city parks and rec. map, parks managed by the City of Cleveland are outlined in green and those managed by the Cleveland Metroparks are outlined in brown.
